    What a roofing site has to prove in a Spring Valley driveway

    Most people who reach a roofing site here arrive on a phone, often standing outside looking up at the roof they are worried about, sometimes on a bad connection in the heat. They give the page a few seconds to answer two things: does this company work my kind of roof, and do they come to my street. Everything else on the site, the history, the awards, the video, is deciding what to be after those answers land. Build the page in that order, then make the form ask what your estimator asks on the phone, and keep the whole thing light enough to load before somebody gives up and taps the next result.

    A visitor decides in seconds whether tile work in Summerlin is your work

    Covering type and service area are the two facts that qualify you, and they belong above everything a homeowner did not ask about.

    Name the coverings you actually work: tile and underlayment replacement, foam and coatings, shingle, low-slope commercial. A homeowner with a slipped tile does not want to read the word solutions. They want to see the word tile.

    Name the places next, using the names people use. Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, Centennial Hills, Silverado Ranch, Green Valley, Anthem, plus Henderson and North Las Vegas as the separate cities they are. If you do not cross to Boulder City, say that too. A clear no saves you both a wasted call.

    Put that block where the hero slideshow usually sits. Slideshows are the most expensive thing on a roofing site and the least read part of it.

    Everything credibility related, the license number, the years, the crews, still matters. It just matters after the visitor knows they are in the right place.

    Community name is the most useful field on your estimate form

    Associations are common enough across the valley that knowing the community on first contact changes how the whole job gets handled.

    Ask for the community or subdivision name, with an honest option for people who do not know it. That one field tells your team whether an architectural approval step is likely, whether the appointment needs a gate arrangement, and roughly what era the roof is.

    Keep the rest of the form short and operational. Address, covering type if they know it, roof age or the year the house was built, one or two stories, and what they are seeing. Photo upload if you can support it, because a picture of a cracked tile saves a truck roll.

    Every field has to change something you do. If nobody uses the answer, delete the field. The form is not a survey, it is the first three minutes of a dispatch conversation moved earlier.

    Do not ask for a budget on a first form. Homeowners do not know, they guess low, and the guess poisons the rest of the conversation.

    A submittal packet is a web page, and almost no roofer has one

    The document a homeowner has to hand their architectural committee is a marketing asset sitting unwritten on most roofing sites.

    Build a page that gathers what a submittal generally needs from the contractor side: material specification sheets, available colors and profiles, your license and insurance documentation, and a sample scope letter written in language a volunteer board member can read.

    Say plainly that requirements are set per community and change, and that owners should confirm with their own association documents. You are supplying the paperwork, not ruling on the rules.

    Then say who does the work. If your office assembles and submits the packet, put that in the first line. It is a concrete promise, it shortens the job for the owner, and competitors who leave the homeowner to figure it out cannot match it without changing how they operate.

    Make it printable and easy to email. The page gets forwarded, and forwarding is how it earns you the next three jobs in that community.

    Photograph the tear-off, because the underlayment is what you are selling

    Real job photography of valley roofs does work that a stock library never will, and the informative shot is the one nobody else posts.

    Finished roofs all look the same. What sells a tile underlayment job is a sequence: tile stacked and labeled, the old layer stripped, the new material down, the tile reset clean. A homeowner who has never heard of underlayment understands the job after four photographs.

    Shoot your own crews on real streets in flat desert daylight. Stock photography of a snow-adjacent roof in a green yard reads as a stranger's website, and buyers here notice within a second even if they cannot say why.

    Never publish a client's address, and get permission before naming a community. Neighborhood-level context is enough to be persuasive.

    Caption them like a foreman, not like a brochure. What the roof was, what was found, what was done. Short lines under images get read when paragraphs do not.

    Roofing sites usually fail on weight, and the weight is rarely the photographs.

    Chat bubbles, review carousels, tag managers, tracking pixels, a font loader, a booking script and a video embed will out-weigh your entire gallery. Each one was added for a reason nobody remembers. Audit them, keep what earns its place, remove the rest.

    Compress and size images properly, load below-the-fold photography lazily, and let the hero be a single correctly sized image rather than autoplaying drone footage. Drone video is the most common self-inflicted wound on a roofing site.

    Test on a mid-range Android phone on cellular, not on the office fiber. That is the device and connection your buyer is holding in a driveway, and it is a different experience entirely.

    Speed is a conversion feature here for a plain reason. Nobody stands outside in valley heat waiting for a page to paint.

    Tell the graveyard shift what happens if they send the form at three in the morning

    A city that runs all night sends you visitors at hours most contractor sites quietly ignore.

    State your hours honestly, and say what happens outside them. A promise that somebody calls back first thing beats silence, and it beats a promise you cannot keep.

    Offer a path that works without a phone call: a booking form that shows real inspection windows, or a text option. Shift workers frequently cannot take a midday call, and a site that only offers a phone number is asking them to fit your schedule.

    If you answer after hours, put it in the first screen, not in the footer. In this market that is a differentiator, not decoration.

    Make the confirmation useful. What happens next, who calls, what to have ready, whether their community may need an approval step. A good confirmation page prevents many of your follow-up calls.

    How many fields should the estimate form have?
    Few enough that a phone user finishes it standing outside, which usually means five or six. Address, community name, covering type, roof age or year built, what they are seeing, and contact details. Add a photo upload if you can handle it. Any field your team does not act on should come off the form.
    Do we need separate pages for each area we serve?
    Only where you can say something real. A page for Henderson or Summerlin that names the coverings common there, shows nearby work and explains permitting is worth building. Twenty near-identical pages with the place name swapped are worse than one honest service area page with a clear list.
    Should we put pricing on the site?
    Ranges, framed honestly, tend to help more than they hurt, as long as you explain what moves a price: covering, square footage, access, story count, condition of what is underneath. Avoid a single figure. And never quote a specific roof without seeing it, because the correction call costs you the job.
    Is a drone video worth including?
    Rarely on the homepage. It is usually the heaviest asset on a roofing site, it autoplays by default, and it arrives before the visitor knows whether you work their roof. If you have good footage, put it on a project page where somebody has already decided to look closely.
    What should we do about after-hours inquiries?
    Decide the policy first, then design to it. If you answer at night, say so prominently, because in this market that is a real advantage. If you do not, offer a booking form and a clear callback promise you can keep. The failure mode is a site that implies availability the office does not have.
